What is a Board Room?

The board room is the area which is used for top level meetings. It can seat up to 48 people (24 can be seated at the table and 24 can be sitting around the perimeter of the walls). This room reflects K-State Olathe’s commitment to meet industry needs in executive meeting space as well as research and training. The room is a more formal decor with basic audiovisual equipment.

The word “board” conjures images of high ceilings of deep wooded rooms in which wealthy men deliberate on corporate policy and pricing to control a market or a chance. The boardroom is now an area of innovation which allows collaboration and participation from all over the world in making important decisions that impact the entire company.

The layout of the room needs to be flexible, allowing it to adapt to the intended purpose. The room should also include state-of-the-art technology to allow for the most productive meetings possible. In addition, the ambience of the room must be welcoming and comfortable to encourage participation and encourage exchange of ideas.

A boardroom should be equipped with an ample screen that can accommodate all attendees. It should also be equipped with projection equipment to show presentations and whiteboards to help facilitate discussions. Modern boardrooms often include a video conference program which allows remote participants to connect and allow for a greater variety of people on the boardroom. Infassure provides modern boardrooms with all the tools needed to make your next meeting successful.
